Dress KARLOTTA let your heart beat faster: A few panel seams cut a fine figure, you fell like a pincess/queen but still you can stow your belongings in the side-seam pockets without carrying a big purse around. You can sew the dress in three sleeve-variants: tight long or short, or short kimono-style (slightly flare), so its suitable for year round use.
Pattern KARLOTTA is designed for woven fabrics. So the move and feel of the tight sleeves created a kind of, let’s say, uncertainty among the jersey-wearers. A woven fabric sleeve always feels tighter than a knitted one and it’s not so comfortable doing a flic-flac with. We now found a reasonable solution between comfy and stylish.
KARLOTTA is a dress designed to fit – but most of us don’t fit in the size charts. So I’ll introduce the upcoming weeks a few fitting possibilities. And from 1st Sep we will start a detailed Sew Along, with comprehensive step-by-step-pictures.
KARLOTTA is the official dress of the SWISS WULLE FESTIVAL. How many Karlottas will show up there? I’m curious.
Now watch the wide range of dresses plus the extra-variations introduced by the seamstresses themselves (shortened as a tunic by Molly and Eleonore). And they not only showed their sewing skills, hats off for their styling- an location settings (yes, there’s a church!).
